Our Story
At Schnappa Rock, we’re all about fresh, local flavour. We use spray-free produce from our own garden, line-caught fish, free-range eggs, and ingredients sourced from around Te Tai Tokerau — like Glenbervie avocados, Dargaville kumara, Ruakaka pāua, and Haku kingfish.
Our gardeners, Tim and James, work tirelessly using organic practices to grow fresh, seasonal produce that inspires creativity from paddock to plate — a true reflection of the rich bounty of our region. We are passionate about contributing to the evolving local food story here in Tutukaka.

144 Islands Wine Dinner
6pm Wednesday 29th July – $140pp
Join us on the 29th of July as we welcome Jake from 144 Islands Wines back to Schnappa Rock for an evening celebrating Northland food and wine.
The evening begins with a welcome drink and snacks, followed by five courses, each matched with a wine. Along the way, Jake will share the story behind this Bay of Islands vineyard and the wines in your glass.
If you enjoy great food, great wine, and hearing the stories behind what's in your glass, this dinner is for you.

"Trust the Chef" experience is available Tuesday - Saturday nights from May - October. When booking these please let us know in the "Requests" section when making your booking. Please include how many courses (6 or 8), whether you'd the wine match and any allergies or dislikes we should be aware of.
